DIRECTORS

Rob Stillwell

Director of Finance and Operations

Robert Stillwell is Director of Finance and Operations. Rob assumes responsibility for the day to day running of Winns Security Services.

In 1986 Rob moved from the gas distribution Industry where he had worked for 13 years into the Financial Services Sector and set up his own Financial Services Company providing financial advice to individuals and companies.

In 1989 Rob set up Winn’s Security Services to address an identified need in the market. In 1992, as a result of visiting sites in connection with Winn’s Security Services, Rob identified the need for a cleaning company that provided a high level of service and so Simply Better Services was founded.

In 1999 Rob sold his financial company and now dedicates his time and efforts to ensuring the quality and efficiency of Simply Better Services Limited and Winns Security Services Limited.

Alan Davies

Director of Sales & Marketing

Alan is Director of Sales and Marketing and Customer Care.

Alan left school and started a career in catering. He soon became a qualified chef and worked at many high profile establishments before entering into the field of Catering Management. Alan quickly progressed to Blue Chip companies, such as BCCI, before changing direction and utilising his natural flair for sales within the industry. Alan received many accolades within the industry and his marketing ideas won him many awards.

In 1992 Alan Davies joined forces with Rob Stillwell to form Simply Better Services and to take on the role of Sales and Marketing Director for Winns Security Services. Rob and Alan have been friends since their school days where they shared, and still share, common sporting interests.

Although each Director have their assigned roles in the Company, their determination to provide a personal service for their clients means that both are able to adopt each others role to provide a seamless response to their client’s needs.

John has been actively involved in security operations from the early 1990’s, including Operational Tours of Northern Ireland & Bosnia.
After a few Sales and Marketing Positions, John returned to the Security Industry and flourished with the forces experience behind him.
He was Managing Director of a city Security Firm in 2004-07, but moved on looking for a greater challenge.
John has managed contracts for clients such, R.B.S., Balfour Beatty, Bellway-Homes, Tiger Aspects Productions, and the M.O.D.
He has also handled certain security operations for prestigious events such as Donnington Races, Royal Ascot, and Wimbledon.
John’s Main role is the day to day running of the company, overseeing all major aspects, inc Recruiting, Service Provision, Client Liaison, Accreditations, etc...

Ray Lidford

Operations Manager – SIA Frontline Licence / Conflict Management Level 2 /
Start Date: 22nd November 1992

Ray started with the company as a security officer in 1992, and soon progressed to an area supervisor / manager.
He is a typical example that a good career can be made from the Industry, as after 18years, he is still going strong.
A lot of Ray’s Knowledge has been accrued over his time, rather than courses, but this holds him in good stead.
The ability to converse with both Clientele and Staff alike, Ray is a major asset to the company, and to himself.
Ray oversees all Vetting Procedures, Rota’s, Service Checks, inc, Driver’s Licences, SIA Licence’s, Right to work, Staff Files, etc....

Steve Wright
Head Area Supervisor – SIA Frontline Licence / Coflict Management Level 2 Team Leadership Training
Start Date: 12th December 2006

Steve Joined WINNS after a 6 year stint with a Local competitor, and 5 years with a National firm.
With 11years service behind him, it was not long before Steve found himself in a Supervisory role. Steve now being Head Area Supervisor plays a major role in transferring Data, and collating Information pertaining to Staff, Sites and general operations.
As WINNS is progressing, Steve is being Lined up for a more senior Management role.

 

THE OFFICE TEAM

To support our on and off site teams, we have staff with 25 years substantial experience based at our offices at Chalkwell Park.

Leanne Clark – Office Manager – NVQ Level 2 – Team Leadership & NLP Training Course
Leanne has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the office; she is responsible for the finances of the company and works closely with Rob Stillwell – Director.

Pauline Durham – Administrator – RSA Computer Literacy 1 & 2 (2000) and ECDL June 2004
Pauline is responsible for all pre qualification questionnaires, quotes and tenders.

Julie Barrett – Payroll Administrator
Julie has 20 years payroll experience and is responsible for staff wages, she ensures she personally gets to know all our staff, where they work and what they do. After all “people are our greatest asset” and their wages is what they mainly come to work for!
